Insurance
VERY IMPORTANT: be sure to have your "European Health Insurance Card" (EHIC) with you. By showing this card, people know that - in the domain of health (and accident) insurance - you are completely covered in your own country, and that every country of the European Union has to give you all the care you need.
If you have never applied for this card at your health insurance, ask for it:

immediately;

if you wouldn't receive it in time, ask them to mail to you a "Preliminary proof in replacement of the European Health Insurance Card" (= 1 page, and this can be done immediately);
At all insurance companies, you can ask for a list of the "Dangerous sports" that are excluded from any intervention "urgent care abroad". In general, "car / motorcycle / outboard motor races" are part of this list. But as we don't "race", our activity is not excluded from any intervention. Check your insurance if this is correct, and if not, be sure to be insured (for possible hospitalisation costs).
If you have a license of your national motorcycle council to race on a circuit, be sure to bring it.

The Nürburgring is situated next to the Nürburg in the beautiful German Eifel area.

Route planner
There is a predefined Routeplanner to the Nürburgring on our "Tracks"-webpage (then click on the red marker of the Nürburgring, and on the pop-up that appears, click on "to here").
Also try the zoom function on this page. Next, choose for "Kaart" or "Satelliet" in the upper right corner of the map. If you choose "Satelliet", you'll see a very detailed aerial picture of the track.
Access to the Paddock
Access to the paddock is possible from Friday 24 May 2013, 8.00 PM untill 11 PM.
Only cars / vechicles in which there is minimum 1 person who enrolled for our event, and who is on the list of the participants - which will be @ the entry - will be admitted to enter the paddock that evening.
If on the spot it seems that it is possible to open the gates in an earlier stage, it will be twittered, so you will be immediately updated throught your smartphone.
There is a possibility to stay the night for free on this parking. Showers, toilets, electricity and water are available.
After our event, the parking has to be empty again at 8 PM at the latest.
Pitbox
You can reserve a pitbox directly @ the track desk on phone number + 49 2691 302 4217.
Keys: @ the office under the tower.
Boxes to rent: n° 4 untill n° 25.
The price per day = 185 €. However, if you want to be in your box the evening before the event (Friday evening / night), the Nürburgring is asking an additional 100 €. The night from Saturday on Sunday is included in the price of 185 € / day.
Lodging
An overview of the lodging possibilities in the vicinity of the circuit can be found here.
Beside this, there is also the possibility to stay the night in the paddock, in so far there is enough place.
Meals - Drinks
In the paddock, there is the snackbar "Box 77".
French fries, schnitzels, hamburgers, coffee, lemonade and beer are available, in short : only the healthy stuff ! ;-)
Also very interesting for a good meal: "Eifeldorf Grüne Hölle"

Thit is the so called "GP-Strecke" where also the Formula 1, the World SBK, the DTM, the Le Mans Series, etc. are run.

b. Technical Inspection - Noise limit = 102 dB
Technical inspection will be done at random, so you won't have to specifically present your motorcycle.
Everyone is responsible for the good condition of his own motorcycle. Pay special attention to:

Brakes, tyres, oil leakage, like crankcase and front suspension

Only original silencers or replacement mufflers with good dB-killers are allowed on the circuit. Checks are done in the pitlane, while you wait for your driving session to start.

Equipment : motorboots, leather gloves, well fitted full face helmet, back protector (no "mousse", but "hard") and leather suit are obligatory (one piece advised). If the leather suit is a two piece suit, both parts will have to be fixed with a zip.
Test possibility of the BMW S 1000 RR - HP4 - F 800 R (model 2013)
This event is one out of 10 BMW Motorrad Track Days that we organise this year in 7 countries.
Those events are open for all motorcycle brands, and are supported by the factory of BMW Motorrad in München.
As a participant of our event, you can book - on site - a test, for the cost price of 20 €.
Included are an insurance and the fuel for 1 session of 20' (in your own group, in stead of riding that session with you own bike).

Presence and participation of Troy Corser
Double world champion SUPERBIKE Troy Corser will be present and will be participating at our event.
More info will be given during the briefing 8h30.
Mandatory briefing at 7.30 AM !
There is a general, mandatory briefing in Dutch, Frech, English and German at 7.30 AM at the EYBIS tent.
Tip for the ROOKIES - (green) group: assist to this briefing in your race outfit and be sure to have your motorcycle ready before the start of the briefing.
Almost immediately after the briefing, we start the session on the circuit.
